Hey guys! It’s the last day of September and snow is in the forecast for Monday morning which I am definitely not ready for snow. I love fall! The colours, the smell, the weather and the food! Pumpkin everything! I just wish our fall season lasted longer so I’m holding on to it by sharing our fall photo session with you all.
I wanted to go with an evening session so we could get that sunset glow. In Alberta, the last few weeks of September are the best times for fall photos. The leaves are still on the trees and they are a mix of beautiful colours.
My favourite colour for fall is wine and burgundy so I knew I wanted it to be my colour scheme. When I saw this beautiful floral romper from a small handmade shop called Tate and Adele, I knew I had to have it for Rylee. I bought this romper months ago knowing it would be perfect for fall photos. This shop is a favourite of mine. Her pieces are so well made and unique. I just love everything I’ve purchased from her. The only downfall is it’s an American shop so the shipping and exchange rates hurt a little so you have to watch for a sale.
The floral head piece was custom made to match this outfit. It’s from a Canadian shop in Quebec called Flora & Jane. Rylee repped for her for a term so we took advantage of the discount and got this piece made. It’s beautiful and matched perfectly! I thought it would slip due to how many flowers were attached but it didn’t move the whole shoot and it never bothered her at all, such a great piece.
I take so many photos of Rylee for her rep page so it was so nice to get some photos of all of us. My husband hates getting his picture taken and I had to practically bribe him to get these done. So I definitely had to take advantage and get some couple shots too.
My husbands shirt was from Le Chateau but from over 10 years ago! He doesn’t buy dress clothes very often. My dress was from Old Navy. I’m not sure the pleats were very flattering now that I see the pictures but the colour is amazing! I loved how it looked next to my babe’s romper.
I can’t wait for our next family session, if I can convince my husband! Hopefully I can keep losing some of the weight I gained during pregnancy so I can love all of the photos because in the end, the memories are what matters.
And what precious memories they are!
