Recipe: Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins-Gluten and Refined Sugar Free

Hey guys! Tonight I want to share a recipe I came across that was shared on some Facebook group I belong too. I’m not sure who shared it or where it was shared from because I only took a screen shot so I can’t give credit where it’s due.


I love banana muffins of any kind and have always looked for a healthier version that still tasted really good and these are definitely the closest to the real thing.


First put 2 1/2 cups of oats in the food processor for about a minute and blend them up. Then add all other ingredients to the processor and blend for another minute. Scoop the mixture into muffin or mini loaf sheets and bake.


They came out so moist and yummy. I did some with chocolate chips and some without. My 10 month old really liked them too! These are great too because I almost always have a couple of ripe bananas to use and the rest on the ingredients are usually always on hand.



  • 2 1/2 cups of old fashioned oats
  • 1 cup of plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup of honey
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp ground flax seed
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 ripe bananas
  • chocolate chips (optional- I  used the last of the vegan ones I had)


  • Pre-heat oven to 400 F.
  • Blend oats in food processor.
  • Add all other ingredients.
  • Mix well.
  • Scoop into muffin tins (I sprayed mine with olive oil first).
  • Bake for 18-20 minutes.
