Spring/Easter Photo Shoot

Hey guys! It’s Rylee’s first Easter coming up and you know how I love planning holiday outfits! I have so many Spring and Easter outfits I’ll be sharing next week on Instagram. I wanted to kick it off with a Spring and a splash of Easter photo shoot.

I knew I wanted purple for this shoot. It’s so hard to find cute purple baby clothes. It seems to be all pinks and whites. When I saw this tutu dress I knew it would be perfect! I like it because she can wear it as she gets older with leggings and a cardigan in cooler weather.

As soon as I seen all the beautiful floral crowns on Instagram I knew that’s what I wanted for her photos. But I did not want to pay the high prices that seem to be attached to these crowns. I do not want to knock anyone’s hard work and creativity but $75 just seems too much for a headpiece. I decided to make my own. All I did was buy some ribbon and hot glue some felt to one side then hot glue flowers I found at Michaels to the other side. It took 10 minutes and cost a few dollars.

The necklace is a teething necklace from an amazing small shop I discovered on Instagram. It a Calgary based company ran by an amazing mama. I told her I wanted something purple and she custom made this for me. I love the purple crocheted beads. Rylee loves it too, so much in fact that we spent half the photo shoot pulling it out of her mouth! It’s made from food grade silicone and is 100% BPA free!

I can’t wait for Easter morning! I’ve been working on her basket for awhile now. It’s filled with small shop finds! Stay tuned for an upcoming post!
