Pinterest Review- Baby Cookies

Hey everyone! My little girl is almost 9 months old and is eating everything in sight! She started showing interest in food at 3 months by staring at us while we ate and by reaching for our plates. We started with purees and it just never seemed enough. I came across baby led weaning and it’s been great! She’s almost at the point where she doesn’t want to nurse or drink a bottle, just eat real foods.


I’m always on the look out for new healthy recipes. So far I haven’t found anything she doesn’t like. I wanted to give her a little treat for Valentine’s Day that wasn’t full of sugars and I came across this on Pinterest.

It was super easy to make with only 5 ingredients!


Oats, unsweetened apple sauce, bananas, peanut butter and cinnamon. Peanut butter has been given the ok for babies by the American Academy of Pediatrics. My pediatrician also said it was fine and only a concern for those with a history of allergies, which my baby did have, as talked about in an earlier post. So I chose to wait until her allergies were gone which was at 6 months. Talk to your doctor if you are concerned.

First preheat the oven to 350 and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Then mash 2 ripe bananas.


Next add 1 cup of oats, 1 cup of unsweetened applesauce, 1/4 cup peanut butter and a sprinkle of cinnamon. Mix very well.


Drop spoonfuls onto the parchment paper and cook for 30-35 minutes.


Once cooled, store in the fridge and that’s it!


Yes I sampled one and it was actually quite good. In fact I may have sampled a few since I made these last night. They were perfect for the sweet treat in Rylee’s Valentine basket.

Recipe below:


  • 2 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup oats
  • 1 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter (I used unsweetened)
  • a sprinkle of cinnamon


  • Preheat oven to 350 and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix well.
  • Drop large spoonfuls onto the parchment paper.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes.
  • Cool and store in fridge.
